This album was released in quick succession following the release of the singer's sophomore solo album, ''Tasty'', released in March of 1979. The album was produced by hitmaker Skip Scarborough. The album became successful upon release due to the popularity of the songs "Come What May" and "Music is My Way of Life", the latter finding chart success on the dance chart.
